Hi, John - I apologize profusely for not answering your e-mail more promptly....since the first of the year, we've had a succession of computer failures & family illnesses that have kept me "off line" for quite some time. You asked for more information on Milda (Melda) Varney....what I have is pretty much detailed on my WorldConnect website. She first appears with the Roland Varney/Caldona Murphy family in the 1900 Pike County, KY census, then again on the 1910 Pike County census. I don't have any marriage information for her & Floyd Smith, however the entry for the Floyd Smith family in the 1920 Pike Co.,KY census is pretty clear - Floyd Smith, husband, age 33: Meldie, wife, age 23; children Edna (3) and Roland T (1), and sister-in-law Texa Varney, age 19. The family is also in the 1930 Pike Co., KY census, with Floyd, Melda, and Edna living with her parents, Roland and Caldona Varney. There is also a "Raymond" listed as a grandson of Roland & Caldona's, age 12. I think this is probably Floyd & Melda's son Roland, as he is listed as "Raymond R.", and is the appropriate age. I don't have anything on the Wetzel family, though I seem to recall the name being used as either a first or middle name by some in the Varney or Smith family. I have added the marriage of Emily Duty and Albert Varney...found them in the 1880 Logan Co., WVA census, too, with children Leander, Leah, and Ephraim. This fills in a little "hole" for me, and I definitely appreciate the information. As usual, any corrections and/or additions are more than welcome, and if I can clarify anything else, please let me know. Again, I apologize for taking so long to respond - Regards, Linda Runyon lrunyon@triad.rr.com ----- Original Message ----- From: john c. wetzel To: llrunyon@hpe.infi.net Cc: lrunyon@tri
