- I started Abner Vance's Homepage in 1995 shortly after the birth of my first Grandson in 1994, it was began as a simple site to keep track of immediate family and direct decendents. However it quickly became apparent to me that it was going to be much more than I had anticipated, but I never imagined it would become what it is today..
