Census from 1900 Polk County, Iowa confirms this child living with her and Charles. If you want to confirm they spelled it as "Hiatt" not Hyatt. Emma was married to ? Groves in 1873 and then to Charles M. Hyatt in Polk County, Iowa on 3/30/1876. They adopted Pearl E. Robinson, born December 1883 who was the illegitimate child of Hannah Groves who married Emma s brother Burton From: GENE CULVER [mailto:genec7@prodigy.net] Sent: Saturday, July 23, 2005 10:30 AM To: John Wetzel Subject: RE: Emma J Dingman Thanks for resending the files. I was able to read them. Here's what I have so far. It's not complete but with your reunion so close thought I'd better send what I have. Hope it helps. I haven't had time to compare yours to mine but appears we might have a few discrepancies. If there's anything you question, let me know and I'll tell you where I got my info in case you want to try to verify. (Some of it came from work my mom and cousin did in the late 1980's and I don't have a lot of documentation.) So far I haven't been able to find Emma J (maybe Jane) after about 1880. I'm still working on it. As I told you I have only Microsoft Works on my computer but I did save this file as an .rtf so hope you can open it. If you can't, let me know and I'll just include the text in a message. Thanks again and if you find Emma, let me know. Betty Culver Des Moines, IA 50317-3024 515-266-6272
