Hi John,
My mother is Linda Eason. It appears we cross lines (my line and yours) with the marriage of Melinda Varney and Christy Wetzel. Melinda was the sister of my great grandfather Leander Varney. One of his children was Sylvia Venus Varney who married John Burl Eason. My mother is their offspring.

I'm doing some focussed research on another part of the family with some time constraints, but I wanted to let you know that I just saw your message and I will respond with some more info.

I see that we are 2nd cousins 1x removed from the AncestryDNA test. I am eager to put this new line into my Family Tree and to exchange info. I promise to get back to you later.

I believe we are distant cousins as I am also a Varney descendant (Leander Varney is my great grandfather). While building my tree on Ancestry.com I only found one reference to Armond M Varney in a census record (and I also see the Leander family picture that has Armond in it). Do you have any other info on Armond? My mother and aunts do not recall an Armond in the family.

I have been using a lot of the information you have supplied and it has been of great use. My family was never really close to their relatives so it's like learning a whole new history we never knew existed.
