Mrs. Ruby J. Wolcott
Mrs. Ruby J. Wolcott, 66 , of Tylersburg, died Monday noon at the Oil City Hospital after a short illness.
She was born in Plainfield, Wis., on May 24, 1895, the daughter of Fred S. and Carrie Conable Mitchell. On Feb. 27, 1915, she was united in marriage to Clyde D. Wolcott and had resided in Tylersburg since 1934. Mr. Wolcott preceded her in death on August 13, 1961.
She was a member of the Tylersburg Methodist Church, active in the choir and Sunday school, and a past president of the Women's Society of Christian Service. She had been active in the North Clarion PTA and was a member oi the Lee per Woman's Club.
She is survived by the following children:
- Mrs. Lenore McIntyre, Tidioute;
- Mrs. Daphne McLaughlin, Crown;
- Merle H. Wolcott, Pittsburgh;
- Dean W. Wolcott, Oil City;
- Dale M. Wolcott, Indiana, Pa.;
- Mrs. Ann Hill, Travis Air Force Base, Calif;
- Mrs. Mary Dempsey, Big Spring, Texas;
also 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and the following sisters and brothers:
- Mrs. L E. Meddaugh, Milwaukee, Wis.;
- Mrs. Richard Luedtke, Beloit, Wis.;
- Robert Mitchell, Milwaukee; and
- George M. Mitchell, Rock Island, Ill.
Frineds may call at the family home in Tylersburg starting this evening. The service will be held in the Tylersburg Methodist Church Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Fred Morris, pastor of Kane Methodist Church, officiating.
- Interment will be in the family plot in the Tylersburg Cemetery.
