John Snyder
Nonagenarian Succumbs After Illness Of One Year
John Snyder, 94, of Dingman Run died Monday, May 12, 1969 in Maple View Rest Home after an illness of one year. He had been in ill health for several years.
Born May 27, 1874 in Eulalia Township, he was a son of Jacob and Elnora Green Snyder. He was married May 17, 1906 in Olean, N.Y. to Sarah Isabelle Randall who died in 1951.
Mr. Snyder, a retired lumberman and farmer, was caretaker of Eulalia Cemetery for many years. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Coudersport and attended the Seventh-day Baptist Church at Hebron.
Survivors include
- one daughter, Mrs. Lottie Gamon, of Saginaw, Mich.,
two sons,
- Steven Snyder, R. D. 2 Coudersport and
Ned Snyder, Roulette
and eight grandchildren.
Two sons, Robert and Floyd, preceded him in death.
Friends will be received at the Lindhome Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the Hebron Seventh-day Baptist Church at noon Thursday and a funeral service will be held there at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Harold King will officiate.
- Interment will, be in Hebron Cemetery.
