• Dad Rouse Marries Daughter While His Son Marries Mother of the Young Girl
If you are good at problems here are enough to keep you busy the remainder of your life Four people appeared at the office of Prothonotary Swetland yesterday and the younger of the two men seated le wished to secure a marriage license. The always cheerful prothonotary produced the necessary papers which were prepared and signed by Lloyd Rouse, 34, who gave his residence as Raymond, Pa. When the paper was ready for the signature of the prospective bride the officer thought quite naturally the younger of the ladies was to become the wife, but he was mistaken. The older woman, Elizabeth Reigle, 39, stepped forward and placed her name on the document. Then Seymour Rouse, 54, father of Lloyd, presented himself and his bride-to-be, Alverta Reigle, 18, who had to have the consent of her mother, Elizabeth Reigle (never married) to take the serious step of matrimony. When the formality of securing licenses had been concluded the two couples proceeded to the Park M. E. parsonage where Rev. A. M. Dietterich,
after some sorting, performed the wedding ceremony. Should a male child be born to Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rouse. what relation will he he to his Grandfather Rouse who is the husband of his half sister? Is not Seymour Rouse who signs his name with an "X", a brother-in-law of his son who is the husband of his mother-in-law? O, thunder! Make all the problems you want to and then try to solve them. The writer's head aches. But there is one thing we can all do wish these folks joy, happiness, long life and a Merry Christmas.
