The 1st John, Dr John's father, md Eliz Pertley. When she died he married Sarah Brown,a widow. Dr John Brookover married Ann Rebecca Tennent, she died and he married Sarah Jennings Patterson. John and Eliz. daughter, Dr. John's sister married Richard Tennent. Eliz. Pertley died Abt. 1809 and is buried in Greene Co. PA. He and Eliz. lived around Winchester, VA but later moved to PA " I moved to Muddy Creek near Uniontown PA and later to Wood Co. Va. The Muddy Creek Ledger of the Seaton Family store in Carmicheal PA states :Jan 1794, a John Brookover brought in some feathers which he traded for six yards of linen.
