Erwin, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and three brothers, Lawrence Hurler, Westfield, John Hurler, Harrison Valley, and Nelson Hurler, Wellsboro. Friends were received at the Wildman Funeral Home Inc., Whitesville, where a funeral service was held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. John Olosky, pastor of the Whitesville United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Robert Wood, pastor of the Whitesville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, officiating. Burial was in Ulysses Cemetery.

Sidney V. Parker
Sidney V. Parker, 70, of Penn Yan, N.Y., formerly of - the Galeton area, died Monday (May 16, 1977) in Soldiers and Sailors Hospital, Penn Yan. Friends will be received today from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Galeton, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Graham of Painted Post, N.Y., officiating. Burial will be in Knowlton Cemetery, Gaines RD.

John P. Tormey Jr.
Mr. John P. Tormey; Jr. of Michigan died April 13, 1977. He was a former resident of Ulysses, an alumnus of Ulysses High School, class of 1945. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Barbara Bolton Tormey; two sons and two daughters, also a brother Dale, and his mother, Mrs. Sarah Tormey Duffy of Franklin, Indiana.
Funeral and interment were in Indianapolis, Ind.

Infant Pierce
Infant Pierce, son of John and Mary Hutton Pierce, Coudersport RD3, died at birth Monday (May 16, 1977) at Cole Memorial Hospital. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Robert M. Pierce, and John S. Pierce; three sisters, Audrey Pierce, Shana Pierce and Lynn Pierce, all at home; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lucille Padilla, Austin RD1; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Hutton, Wooster, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Big Moore's Run Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn S. Thomas, pastor of the Alliance Church, Coudersport, officiating. Fickinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Christy R. Wetzel
Christy R. Wetzel, 81, of Shinglehouse, died Tuesday (May 10, 1977) in Cole Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 28, 1895, at Middlebourne, W.Va., a son of John and Mary Ellen Matthews Wetzel. On April 23, 1924, at Banco, W.Va., he married the former Melda Varney, who survives.
Mr. Wetzel had been a Shinglehouse resident for the past 37 years. He was a retired driller in local gas and oil fields and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shinglehouse. He was a veteran of World War I.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by four sons,
- Glenn Wetzel, Millport;
- Edwin Wetzel, Coudersport;
- David Wetzel, Williamsport; and
- Robert Wetzel, Tully, N.Y.;
three daughters,
- Mrs. Gordon (Mary Ellen) Olson, Olean, N.Y.;
- Mrs. Richard (Emily) Jordan, Bolivar, N.Y.; and
- Mrs. Evelyn Engle, Daly City, Calif.;
14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren;
- and a brother, Earl Wetzel, Middlebourne.
Friends were received at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., Portville, N.Y., where funeral and committal services were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Marion H. Vincent, pastor of the Gold and Ulysses First Baptist Churches, officiating.
- Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.

Coudersport Scene Of Hunger Forum
People in Potter County will have an opportunity to learn more about the world's hunger crisis Saturday at 6:00 p.m., during a Community Hunger Forum, to be held at Christ Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 601, N. Main St., Coudersport. Pat Young, internationally-known authority on the world hunger situation, will be among the speakers. The forum will begin with a meal, furnished by churches in the area, and those attending are asked to make a one dollar donation. Mrs. Patricia Young, chairman of the National Council of Churches Crusade Against Hunger, will lead the program. Additional information is available from Pastor James Wise, pastor of Mrst Presbyterian Church.

COUDERSPORT ROTARY CLUB
President Frank Golden opened Monday meeting of Coudersport Rotary Club at The Brookside by welcoming former member Joseph Celaschi back as a regular member. A total of 288 persons were tested at the multiphasic blood testing program. Chairman Mort Levinson reported that this was the most successful year since the club assumed sponsorship in 1974. Coudersport's Interact Club held its first meeting Monday at the Coudersport Library.
Program chairman Harry Palmatier asked Ferd Gunzburger to explain proper voting methods to club members. Many questions were asked as members prepared to cast their votes. Dr. William Beisel, Dean of
