I meant to post this during deer season.

The winter of 1936. My Dad Bob Morey, then age 3 (left), and his older brother Owen. Dad was not too happy about having to pose with his Dad's deer, convinced it was going to bite him. He got over his fears and spent a lifetime chasing his own deer through Potter County woods, but at 87 he still chuckles about this picture.

At the time of this photo, they lived on Center Park ST, listed there in the 1940 census, 'same place' in 1935. Your dad was my 10th cousin 1x removed, making you my... 10th cousin 2x removed. (That's what FTM says, anyway.) I grew up in Center Park and my father and a brother still live there. I've been tracking the old neighborhood, to get a better feel for it and its history.

First on Center Park ST in the enumeration, they must have lived on the corner of East 2nd ST, where Dr. Pete Ryan's dental office was and Red Howard's garage before that. That hill in the background is across Rte 6. [Pete was a fraternity brother of mine at Alfred University, but that's another story.]
