Pauline "Pauli" Clark Von Nieda was the daughter of Ned & Ellen Frink Clark. Ned was the sheriff of Potter County and also owned the Meat Market "Clark Market" that became Heimel's Meat Market and is now a dress shop called "Blue Daffodil". Pauline was the descendant of Daniel Clark, the surveyor from Windham, Connecticut, who made the first map of Potter County. Daniel and his family moved to Potter County in 1816 and left in 1824. He returned to his house on "Hemphill's Corner" in March of 1829 and died shortly after. He was buried on the hillside overlooking his house. Pauline married Harold "Whitey" Von Nieda and they had three daughters, Sally, Allyn Sue and Robyn and a son, Harold "Buz" Von Nieda.

Grace's sister Hazel was six years older and was in the same class as my grandmother and her twin sister, the Snyder sisters, Iva & Eva, CHS class of 1924. (photo posted last November by Lanny Nunn.)

While I'm at it, Grace's cousin Katherine signed over her interest in the former fairgrounds property on Center Park ST to my parents in 1951.
