p.5- Ransom Beckwith, Sr (b. October 25, 1791 in Connecticut -d. May 15, 1869 in Dodge County, Nebraska) married Anna Palmer on April 25, 1812. Anna was the daughter of Samuel Palmer, Sr. She was born July 11, 1798 in Bermont.
Ransom was probably buried in Nebraska. Anna Palmer Beckwith lived to be almost ninety years old. She died on June 17, 1888 at the home of her eldest daughter, Delight Beckwith Burt, on Sartwell Creek. She is buried in the Sartwell Creek Cemetyery, Lot 3 AN.
The children of Ransom, Sr. and Anna (Palmer) Beckwith were:
- Delight
- Jabez Corkins
- Ransom jr
- Samuel Palmer, and
- Simeon Merrill
The first child of Ransom, Sr. and Anna Beckwith was Delight (b. July 12, 1815). She married Israel Burt on January 19, 1842. They lived at Burtville and on Sartwell Creek. [Author's note: For further information, the reader is referred to the Burt genealogy found elsewhere in this chapter.]
