GOLDEN WEDDING
Fiftieth anniversary of the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Nelson, February 15th. About fifty guests were present.
The four sons and five daughters of the venerable couple were present, except one, with their companions and grandchildren. Congratulatory letters from absent friends were read.
The groom of fifty years was presented with a beautiful gold-headed walking cane, exquisitely engraved. The "bride of '32" was given a pair of gold spectacles. Numerous other presents were given. The aged couple at the word arose, also Nelson and Mary Ann Clark, as groomsman and bridesmaid, who filled the same position fifty years ago, and were united in the bonds of golden wedlock, by Rev. J. Latham, oldest son-in-law of the groom.
Refreshments were served in excellent style, after which the time was given over to chatting stories of Potter county fifty years ago, advancement, struggles, etc.
Altogether the reunion was one of great enjoyment and profit. -- Potter Enterprise.
Mrs. Nelson is the oldest sister of D. T. Hall, of this place.
