Area Man, Gored by Bull, Succumbs ________
Port Allegany -- After being gored by an angered bull Monday, Victor E. Meacham, 54, of Roulette RD1, died yesterday morning at the Potter County Memorial Hospital, Coudersport. Mr. Meacham was born May 26, 1896, at Port Allegany and lived in this vicinity all his life. He was employed at the Pittsburgh-Corning Corporation here and was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Nora Mangold;
his wife, Frances; and
six sons,
- William,
- Gordon,
- Eugene,
- Leonard,
- Barry and
- Dale.
Funeral services will be conducted by the combined American Legion and Veterans of Foreigh Wars at the Gallup Funeral Home Friday at 3 p.m. The Rev. John D. Westley, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren church, will officiate.
Interment will be made in Fairview Cemetery.
