WIFE AND MOTHER DIES.
Good Woman Called to Her Long Home Last Friday.
Mrs. Lois Spencer, a most estimable woman, and the faithful wife of EH Spencer, of Fishing Creek, passed away at the Dean Sanitarium Friday, September 30th, after an illness of two months. She had a severe attack of pneumonia and finally died of heart failure. She Is survived by her husband and the following seven children:
- John H.,
- Ernest J.,
- Luman J., of Potter County;
- Arch E., of Arcadia, N. Y.;
- Mrs. Lucy Lewis, and
- Mrs. Betsey Lord, of Bolivar, and
- Rose M., of Roulette.
A large number of admiring friends attended the last sad rites Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Fishing Creek Methodist church. Rev. Codding, the Methodist minister, preached the sermon and paid a high tribute to the Christian life of the deceased.
Interment in Green Cemetery. Grabe & Son, funeral directors.
