Phoebe E. Martin
Phoebe E. Martin, 81, of 517 E. Oak St., Palmyra, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1987, in Cornwall Manor.
She was the wife of the late Dr. Mario V. Martin who died in November, 1974.
Born in Lycoming County, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Cora Huntington Smith.
She was a registered nurse at the former Hershey Hospital, was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Palmyra; the Palmyra Senior Womens Club, the Palmyra Chapter Order of the Eastern Star 402.
She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University Nursing School, Philadelphia.
She is survived by
- a son, Dr. Robert S. Martin, Lansdowne, Pa.;
two grandsons and two greatgrandchildren;
sisters,
- Amanda E. Smith, and
- Ethel, wife of W. E. Young, both of Ft. Myers, Fla.;
brothers,
- Clifford Smith, Harrisburg,
- Gerald V. Smith, Lockport, N. Y.
