Mary Bee Gilbert

Mary Law was born in Northumberlandshire, England in the 1700's of quaker descent. Her first husband was Thomas Bee, second husband: John Bell.
Mary and John came to America about 1800 bringing with them their five children:
- Thomas Bee
- Mary Bee
- John Bee and
- William Bell
- John Bell.
They were among the first settlers of Ceres Township.
Mary's third husband was Robert Gilbert. Their daughter, Henrietta Caroline Gilbert, married Potter Benson and to them were born 8 children:
1. Satira (1837)
2. Gulielma (1838)
3. Mary (1841)
4. John (1843)
5. Elizabeth (18470
6. HARRIET [who married Alvah Hall] (1849)
7. Bruce (1851)
8. Rebecca (1854)
To Harriet Benson and Alvah Hall were born:
- Lucy
- HENRIETTA CAROLINE
- Orilla
Thus Mary Bee Gilbert was the great-grandmother of Henrietta Hall Spring.
