A graded school has been estab lished at Harrison Valley. It opens this week with Mr.

T. 1. Gifford, of Troupsburg, N. Y., aud Miss Eliza Kelts, of Harrison Valley, as teach- eis. I he new school house is two stories in height and contains three rooms and a class room, is altogether by far the finest school house in the county, PikeMills now has a graded school in full operation.

Two teachers, Mrs. Mary Crum and Miss Mary Mitchell, are employed. The house is new and good. The teachers have decorated the walls and windows tastefully, adding greatly to the attractiveness of the rooms. It is to be regretted .that, the builders did not consult some experienced teacher concerning the arrangement of blackboards and seats.
