Richard, born to Carroll B. and Emma Zizka Fessenden attended High School in Roulette, Pa. Chown Business School, Buffalo, NY graduated in 1941 drafted in 1942 army Air Corp service with 461st Bomb Squadron in Foggia, Italy. Met Almira (Dolly) Gaskill when stationed at Gowen Field Boise. He returned to marry Dolly 3 August, 1945 in Fairfield, Idaho, after his discharge they moved to Wellsville, NY, Dick worked for Sinclair Refinery. Three children were born at Wellsville moving to Buffalo, NY in 1956 for employment with American Freightways. Richard was no longer able to work because of disabling disease in 1964. Richard and Dolly moved to Idaho in 1977, always a cheerful person he enjoyed several hobbies and visits from family and friends. His last years were spent at Boise VA hospital. Richard's parents, brothers Robert and Russell, daughter Janice preceded him in death.
Cremated ashes deposited on Perry and Florence Gaskill burial site.
