"to the Ed Cornell and Merle Cornell families in the death of their uncle - brother, Robert B. Darrin of Coudersport, PA on Saturday, May 21, 1983 in Charles Cole Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Port Allegany on March 11, 1910 to Edwin and Caroline Golden Darrin.
He is survived by his widow, a son, a daughter, two grandchildren, five brothers, seven sisters, and several nieces and nephews, including Edwin Cornell.
Funeral services are held Tuesday, May 24, in Coudersport, with burial in Lyman Cemetery, Roulette.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice."

"Robert B. Darrin, 73, of Coudersport, died Saturday (May 21, 1983) in Cole Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born March 11, 1910, in Port Allegany, and was a son of Edwin and Caroline Golden Darrin. On Jan. 28, 1939 in Eldred, he married Bonnie Tauscher, who survives.
Mr. Darrin had been employed for 20 years as a deep storage operator for United Natural Gas in Hebron, retiring in 1973. Previously, he had been employed by the former Damascus Tanning Co. in Coudersport. He as a member of Park United Methodist
Church, Coudersport.
Besides is wife, survivors include a son, Dr. Thomas Darrin OD, Kane; a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Roberta) Jago, Lansdale; two grandchildren; five brothers, Merle Cornell, Harrisburg, Howard (Dusty) Darrin and James Darrin, both of Buffalo, N.Y.; Joseph Darrin, Coudersport, and Richard (Jock) Darrin, Long Beach, Calif; seven sisters, Mrs. Reuben (Helen) Himes, Coudersport, Mrs. Peter (Marthadell) Bradley, Long Beach, Mrs. Billy (Gertrude) Cannon, Bradford, Mrs. William (Ruth) Tingley, Olean, N.Y., Mrs. Arthur (Harriet) Habermehl and Phyllis Darrin, both of Buffalo, and Mrs. Lloyd (Ethel) Cunningham, Carson City, Nev., and several nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at the Fickinger Funeral Home, Coudersport, where a funeral service was held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Paul Lauchle, co-pastor of the Coudersport Larger Parish of the United Methodist Church…"
