J.V. Weimer is building a very substantial sidewalk in front of his premises.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton Gustwick will begin housekeeping in one part of Mrs. Annie Yentzer's house.
Mrs. Henry Fessenden, of Coudersport, visited relatives in town over Sunday.
Ed. Adams served warm sugar to a company of his young friends one evening last week.
The Storey family gave a very enjoyable concert in the opera house April 12th.
Miss Mabel Weimer has just finished her school at Mina and will, we understand, open a private school in the school building here.
Mrs. D.G. Pomeroy has returned from a visit with her parents at Colesburg.
Archie Fessenden, of Emporium, has been visiting relatives in town recently.
W.T. Jackson, of Boston, was looking after his tannery interests here last week.
Mrs. J.C. Burt, of Burtville, was the guest of friends Saturday.
Mrs. Fred Ernst and Mrs. William Ernest, of Williston, were guests of Mrs. Neother Saturday.
George Taylor has moved his family into Jno. Card's building and will sell teas and spices, on the road for the Pure Gold Company. O.C. Wagoner, of Port Allegany, has taken charge of his market.
Prof. Clulo began a short term of school on Monday last at Elm Flats. The trustees are very fortunate in securing Mr. Clulo's services.
Warm sugar will be served in White's hall Friday evening, the proceeds to be added to the carpet fund. All are cordially invited.
John Tenbrock is building a new porch on his residence.
