MORGAN
Died at her home in Wethersfield Oct. 12, 1896 Mrs. George Morgan aged 61 years, 5 months and 22 days. Mrs. Morgan was born in the town of China (now Arcade) April 20, 1835 and in early youth removed with her parents into the town of Wethersfield and with the exception of a short time spent in the West she has lived in that vicinity until the time of her death. She was the mother of ten children, three of whom died in early childhood, two, William Morgan and Mrs. Ollie Drew died in the spring of 1895.

She is survived by two sons, John & Willis Morgan and three daughters, Mrs. Mary Furnell, Mrs. Belle Woodley and Mrs. Ada Baker. Three brothers and one sister also live to mourn her loss, being Aaron DeGroff of Wethersfield, Abram DeGroff of Eldred, Penn., Harmon DeGroff of Allegany, NY and Mrs. Eliza Reed of Wethersfield. Her mother is also living at the advanced age of 89 years. She was an energetic, industrious women, devotedly attached to her family and was held in great respect by her many neighbors and friends. Of late years she had been a great sufferer from that dread disease, cancer. But during all the long years of her afflication she bore up with Christian fortitude and resigniation, expressing a willingness to die whenever her time should come.

The funeral and interment took place at Smith's Corners, Rev. O.S. Ward officiating.
