Earl A. Brown Dies Suddenly At Age of 62
Coroner of Potter County For 12 Years, Recently Elected to Serve Fourth Term - Funeral Services Tomorrow Afternoon.
Earl A. Brown, 62, of Coudersport, well known throughout Potter County, died suddenly shortly before midnight Monday (Nov. 15, 1959), after having been stricken at his home a short time before.
Born June 9, 1897, at Morris, Pa., to Grant and Phidelia Grover Brown, Mr. Brown was married Feb. 2, 1924 to Miss Kathryn Breunle at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Coudersport. They had no children.
Elected Nov. 4 to serve his fourth term as coroner of Potter County, Mr. Brown had been an employe of Ridlon's Hardware for 35 years. He was a member of St. PauR Church; Eulalia Lodge, F. and A. M.; Coudersport Consistory; Central Grange and the Potter County Historical Society.
Surviving besides his widow are two sisters,
- Mrs. Alfred Kreager and
- Mrs. Harry Blackwell, both of Morris.
Friends are being received at the Lindhome Funeral Home. Services will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 2:00 p. m. from St. Paul's Church with the Rev. Patrick Maier officiating. Masonic rites will be held at the graveside with
- burial in Eulalia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church will be appreciated.

Robert D. Lyon Dies
Native of Roulette, 111 Three Months - Funeral Tuesday
Robert Donald Lyon, Geneva, N. Y died Saturday morning in Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He had been ill three months. He was an optical technician with the Finger Lakes Optical Company.
Deceased was a son of Robert and Helen Lyon. He was born at Roulette, March 10, 1933. He married Phyllis Sereno, at Coudersport, Sept. 25, 1954.
He had resided at Allegany, Smethport, Roulette and for a time in Coudersport as an employe of the Market Basket. He was a graduate of the local schools in the class of 1953.
Survivors are his wife;
- his mother, Helen Lyon, Warren, Pa.;
- stepmother, Helen Lyon, Port Allegany;
- a sister, Mrs. Patricia Phillips, Coudersport;
- his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Bess, of Roulette, and
- paternal grandmother, Mrs. L. Jones, of Trail, British Columbia, Canada.
During his time in Coudersport, he lived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Shalkowski.
He was a member of St. Stephen's Church, Geneva and Holy Name Society at Smethport.
Funeral service was held Tuesday with prayers at 8:30 at the Grabe Funeral Home, and requiem high mass at St. Eulalia Church with Rev. Arthur J. Leon officiating.

Former Resident Here Dies At 91 In Bradford
Mrs. I. B. Angevine, resident of Rixford, died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William E. Runyan, in Bradford at the age of 91. She had been ill since June 1958, and had resided with her daughter for the past year.
She was born Oct. 1, 1868, at Delhi, N. Y., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Johnston, who moved to Coudersport when Mrs. Angevine was a small girl. She was married Dec. 21, 1887, and moved to Rixford in 1899.
An active member of the Rixford Methodist Church until recently, she was forced to cease her activities because of failing health.
She is survived by her husband;
four children, including the daughter with whom she made her home and three sons,
- Lester, of Point Pleasant, N. J.,
- Gordon, of Temple City, Calif., and
- Wilbur, of Rixford;
- a sister, Mrs. Arthur Bittler, Coudersport;
two brothers,
- Mahlon and Laurent, both of Coudersport;
12 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Thursday at the Koch-Chatley Memorial Chapel in charge of the Rev. Clytus T. Mowry and the Rev. Jerry Angevine, a grandson of the deceased.
- Burial will be in the McKean Memorial Park.
