--Sixty-eight took dinner at the Glassmire house Sunday ; seventy-six Monday and not a room to be had in is notei Monday evening. .Business has increased 60 per cent with the Uid crank" witmn tne past two months, and the man who runs a hotel in opposition to him and pays rent -nis name is "Dennis."
--J. M. Cotter was down from Cow dersport Wednesday.. John has rent ed the Crowell House, a large brick hotel at .rotters county seat, and win take possession next wees, it ne doesn't make a success of it the hotel poor property. --Eldred Eagle. Guess there is nothing in it, at least Mr. Crowell, the owner of the property, says not.
--Eldred Eagle : A collision occur red just south of the W. N. Y. A P. depot here Tuesday, between a north bound freight train, and a switch engine which was pushing a car of lumber. The freight engine was seriously bombarded by the flying lumber and considerable damage was done, but the track was soon cleared. No one injured.

--Mrs. Anna Babcock, wife of Benjainin Babcock, of Sweden, died Monday, May 15th, 1893. The deceased had been very sick with a stomach difficulty for a long time. She was a woman who was widely and favorably known and one that will be greatly missed. Mrs. Babcock was 68 years of age. We did not learn when the funeral will be held.

--C. L. Peck, of this borough, has a sight worth any one's time to see. His dog, "Flora," a few days ago gave birth to thirteen pups, "Flora" is one-half Mastiff and one-half Newfoundland, and weighs 150 pounds, while the father of the pups is a full blooded Newfoundland. The pups are large and fine specimans, and the thirteen are a sight to behold.
--The Emporium Press says: The Emporium and Rich Valley railroad is doing a general passenger and freight business. Trains leave Emporium at 45 a. m., and 4:30 p. m. Arriving at 10 a. m., 4:20 and 6:40 p. m. A fine and comfortable pnssenger car is now on the road and everything is conducted in a manner to insure safety and comfort to its patrons.
--The Mosaic Glass Company, which is to move from Fostoria, Ohio, to Addison, will take twenty-four fain- lies with it besides 100 single men. it is said. The main building will be constructed of brick with a length of 410 feet and a width of 110 feet. There will be two furnaces, and employment will be given to 150 hands at the start, and later to 450, it is expected.
