TRIES TO END HIS LIFE WITH BULLET Shinglehouse Man in Olean Hospital With Bullet Wound in Chest Will live.
According to newspaper reports and reports from Shinglehouse people Roy Bell of that town will recover from a self-inflicted bullet wound. The story is to the effect Bell shot himself in the chest with a 22-calibre revolver Sunday following a quarrel with his housekeeper. Bell is 30 years of age and is said to be separated from his wife. The woman keeping house for him is a Miss Kriss. The public knows very little about the quarrel or argument but Bell is alleged to have stated he did not want to live. He was taken to the Olean General Hospital and he is no doubt disappointed as surgeons say he will recover.
