ROSE STEPHANIE HUDSON (KUDUK) was born Saturday, May 31, 1919 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Stanley J. and Agnes A. (Matula) Kuduk.

She was raised in Youngstown and after graduating from high school, received an academic scholarship to Marrietta College where she attended two years before she met her husband of 53 years, Paul A. Hudson, through her brother, Stanley, who was also a Ham Radio Operator. The couple was married Wednesday, June 28, 1944, Rose and Paul were blessed with six children and moved to Riverside, CA in 1958.

The center of Rose's life was her family and serving her Lord. She attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and CCD Teacher for many years. She was employed by the Riverside Unified School District as a teacher's aid at Sunshine School until her retirement in 1981. She spent her leisure time caring for her grandchildren, gardening, hiking, crocheting and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Hudson in 1997 and her precious son, Dennis Hudson, who gave his life serving his country, in 1969. Rose passed to her Heavenly home, Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Riverside, California, at the age of 93 years. She will be remembered by her dear sister Julia Stainback; loving children, Lee Hudson, Karen Harris, Russell Hudson, Susan Morgan and Jane Tacon. Also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will be truly missed and remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.

The family will greet friends for visitation at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 3774 Jackson Street, Riverside, CA, Friday, November 30, 2012 beginning at 9:15 A.M. Rev. Fr. Joe Felker will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. followed by a time of refreshment and celebration of Rose's life, in the Katherine Drexel Center, on the church grounds.

- Interment will be at 1:00 P.M. in Crestlawn Memorial Park, 11500 Arlington Avenue, Riverside, CA.

Age 93, passed away November 27, 2012. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she resided for 54 years in Riverside, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hudson and son, Dennis Hudson. Rose is survived by her sister, Julia Stainback; children Lee Hudson, Karen Harris, Russell Hudson, Susan Morgan and Jane Tacon; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was employed as a teacher's aid at Sunshine School in Riverside Unified School District until her retirement. Services will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church on Friday, November 30, 2012. Viewing at 9:15 am and funeral mass at 10am followed by a celebration of Rose's life in the Katherine Drexel Center on the church grounds. Burial will be at Pierce Bros.
