After the first shots were fired, Theodore Yentzer, who lives near by, and others hurried to the scene. He said to Mr. Yentzer, "See what I have done," and pointed to his wife's body as she lay dying. With this remark, he knelt down by her and instantly fired a bullet into his own temple, ending it all and thus saving Potter county several hundred dollars. He could see there was no way to escape and many people had already gathered about him and Mr. Yentzer was in about three feet of him when he took his own life.
Mrs. Clark, who continued to breathe, was taken into her mother's house, where she was living, and given every attention until she died. She never, regained consciousness.
His body was taken to the home of his brother, George Clark, who lives in Roulette. He also has a brother, J. W., who lives in Mina. Grabe & Son were notified and they took. charge of both bodies.
Mrs. Clark's funeral was held Tuesday forenoon at 10 o'clock at her mother's home. Interment in the Lyman Cemetery at Roulette.
His funeral was held Tuesday af ternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of his brother, George. Interment In Card Creek cemetery. Both funerals were largely attended and both under the direction of G. H. Grabe and Son.
