WANTS $2,000 FOR HIS WIFE'S AFFECTIONS
Through his attorney, W. L. Lillibridge, Chester E. Clark, of Clara township, has brought suit for two thousand dollars damages for alieniating the affections or his wife, Anna, against Edwin L. Fisk, of the same town. This being a case in trespass, the defendant was arrested by the sheriff by a similar process as in a criminal case. Sheriff Kenneda was given the capias last Friday about noon and Deputy Sheriff Babcock made the service on ___.
Fisk furnished bail in the sum of $1,000 for his appearance at the March term of Court.
Clark's complaint, which he has filed with Prothonotary F. J. Wandall, is as follows:
The plaintiff, Chester E. Clark, claims damages of the defendant, Edward L. Fisk, To the amount hereinafter demanded, upon the following statement: For that whereas the said defendant, contriving and wrongfully, wickedly and unjustly, intending to injure the said plaintiff, and to deprive him of tbe comfort, fellowship, society, aid and assistance of Anna Clark, the wife of the said plaintiff, and to alienate and destroy her affection for the said plaintiff, heretofore, to w;t, on or about the first day of September, A. D., 1910, and on divers other days and times, between that day and the day of exhibiting this bill, at tiie county of Potter and state of Pennsylvania, wrongfully, wickedly and unjustly debauched and carnally knew the said Anna Clark, then and there, and still being the wife of the said plaintiff, and thereby the. affection of the said Anna Clark for the said plaintiff was elienated and destroyed, and also, by means of the premises, the said plaintiff hath from thence hitherto wholly lost and been "deprived of, the comfort, fellowship, society, aid and assistance of the said Anna Clark, his said wife, in his domestic affairs, which the said plaintiff during all that time ought to 'have had, and otherwise might and would have had to wit, at the county of Potter aforesaid. And further that the said plaintiff, because of the seduction of his said wife by the defendant, as aforesaid, separated from her, his said wife, upon the 30th day of December, 1910. To the damage to the said plaintiff of $2,000 and therefore he brings this suit, &c. In an amended statement, Chester E. Clark says that the said Anna Clark, prior to the time of being debauched by the said Edward L. Fisk, which was upon or about September 1st, 1910, and at divers other times, had been a true and affectionate wife and mother to the two childnen born to the said Chester E. Clark and Anna Clark. That the said Edward L. Fisk, by his wrongful and wicked and improper relations with the said Anna Clark has alienated the affections of the said Anna Clark for her husband, the said Chester E. Clark, the deponent, whereby the deponent has lost the fellowship, society, aid, assistance and comfort, of the said Anna Clark, by the said Edward L. Fisk, as aforesaid, the defendant has sustained damages and injuries to the amount of $3,000 and upwards and has suffered in wounded feelings, a loss which no amount of money can ever pay.

Deputy Sheriff Coleman Smith went to Fishing Creek and brought Mr. Fisk to Coudersport on Saturday. He furnished bail and was released. The sympathy of many of the best people of Roulette and vicinity is with him.
