MRS. AMANDA FULKROD
Mrs. Amanda J. Fulkrod, nee Troutman, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sadie Snyder in Newfield, February 28th. Deceased was born in North Freedom, Armstrong County, Pa, June 15, 1874, where she spent her early years and after her marriage to E.W. Fulkrod, they came to Potter county, locating in Coudersport where for many years Mr. Fulkrod was a landscape gardner. He died two years ago. Mrs. Fulkrod was a kind and loving wife and mother, always ready to lend a helping hand and her demise will be genuinely mourned by the entire community.
She is survived by
her two daughters,
- Mrs. Sadie Snyder of Newfield, and
- Mrs. Burt Mabley of Buffalo who have tenderly cared for her during her illness, also her aged mother,
- Mrs. Mary Troutman of Pierce, Pa;
five brothers,
- Jesse of Hawthorne, Pa;
- W.O., M.D and
- G.A. Troutman of Pierce, Pa;
- J.G. of New Bethlehem, Pa;
and one sister,
- Mrs. Viola Verner of Baltimore, Md
and three grandsons.
The funeral services were conducted Sunday in Newfield from the Snyder home with Rev. C.E. Williams of Ulysses, officiating and burial was made in the Eulalia cemetery in Coudersport.
