William, age 73, a prominent oil man of the area, passed away at his home in Eldred, PA. He had taken ill while at St. Petersburg, FL., about two week earlier and passed away less than ten hours after he arrived at his home.
He had been spending the winter in Florida with his wife and two daughters.
He was a member of the F&AM of Eldred, The Methodist Church of Eldred and the protected Home Circle.
He had been engaged in the oil business most of his life.
At the time of his death he was survived by
- his wife, Stella,
two daughters,
- Mrs. Mae MacMillan and
- Mrs. Jennie Hadle, both of Eldred.
The funeral was held at the First Methodist Church, in Eldred on March 31, 1929.
