Obituary:
-- Mrs. Eunice Dowley, aged 71, wife of William Dowley, died recently at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fannie Bates, in Knoxville.
She was the mother of 11 (12?) children; nine of whom survive her-
- Mrs. Louisa Vastbinder, of Osceola;
- Uriah Dowley, of Michigan;
- Charley Dowley, of Elmira;
- Manerva Wood, of Elmira;
- Levi Dowley, of Troupsburg;
- Fannie Dowley, of Elkland;
- Rilla Dailey, of Elkland; and
- Jessie Watkins, of Buffalo.
- William Dawley/Dolley (living at the time, but not mentioned. vide infra)

1. It appears that William Dawley/Dolley (son) is not stated in the obit, but living at the time of Eunice's death.
2. Some of the family members decided to change the spelling of the last name at about/around this time period, which explains different spellings on legal documents and tombstones.
3. Eunice is also known as "Molly" by some family members.
