Mrs. Herbert A. Snyder Jr., loving mother, grandmother. OLEAN- Phyllis Snyder of 6464 Queen St. died Tuesday (June 2,1998) at the Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo. Born Jan. 27, 1933 in Olean, she was a daughter of Roy D. and Orilla E. Walker. On Sept. 27, 1953, in St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean, she married Herbert A. Snyder Jr., who survives. Mrs. Snyder attended the Olean schools. She worked for Acme Grocery Stores for a number of years and then Swartz Grocery Store on East State Street. She retired in the late 1970's. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church. She enjoyed working with and selling crafts and antiques. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Michael P. (Jennie) Snyder of Falconer and Steven C. (Wendy) Snyder of Alachua, Fla; two grandchildren; two sisters, Lorrain (Robert) Havens and Elois Corson, both of Olean.
