LALON R. BLISS
Lalon R. Bliss, the well known Coudersport photographer, who passed away at an early hour last Thursday morning, was born near Owego, NY 79 years ago. His early life was spent in that vicinity and during 1870 and 1871 he studied photography under D.H. Naramore at Wellsboro, later locating at Knoxville. After a residence of three or four years there during which time he took as his bride Miss Elvira Hood, he moved to Groton, NY and from there he came to Coudersport where he had resided since 1880. Mrs. Bliss preceded him in death in 1921. Surviving are three daughters
- Mrs. Ruth Pratt, Coudersport;
- Mrs. Helen Bovee, Buffalo;
- Mrs. Laura Gellatly, St. Paul, Minn.
Mr. Bliss was a faithful member of the Park M.E. Church over a long period of years and the local Masonic bodies in both the York and Scottish Rite. He had a large number of friends who mourn with his daughters his passing.
Funeral services were held from the M.E. Church, Sunday afternoon at 2:00, with Knights Templar honors Rev. A.M. Dietterich officiating.
- Burial was made in Eulalia Cemetery.

The question piqued my interest. Attached is the obituary for L.R. Bliss. I wonder if his photo files still exist somewhere.
