Mrs. Dorothy Dexter Becomes Bride of Darnell Cook
Methodist Church Pastor Perforins Double-Ring Ceremony Before Improvised Altar In Home Of Mr. And Mrs. Glenn Springer,
Mrs. Dorothy Buchanan Dexter and Darnell Cook were married Friday night at 8:00 o'clock at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Glenn Springer and Mr. Springer, 110 West Maple St. The Rev. Benton S. Swartz, pastor of Park Methodist Church, performed the double ring ceremony before an improvised altar decorated with a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and white tapers. Mr. and Mrs. Springer attended the couple. The bride, daughter of Mr. , and Mrs. Reva Buchanan, wore a burnt orange velvet street length dress. Her only jewelry was a strand of pearls, a gift from the bridegroom. Her corsage was of yellow rose buds. Mrs. Springer was dressed in a gray-blue rayon cord outfit. Her corsage was of yeilow pompom mums. Mrs. Buchanan's dress was navy blue and she wore a corsage of white carnations. The bridegrooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cook of Brookville, Pa. were unable to attend the wedding because of illness. A reception for about 50 guests was held immediately following the ceremony. A three-tier wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom and encircled with chrysanthemum florets, was served. Mr. and Mrs. Cook left for their apartment at 30 E. Main St., Brookville. Mrs. Cook graduated from the Coudersport High School and has been employed at the Sylvania plant in Galeton. Mr. Cook was graduated from the Clarion High School and is employed by the Soil Conservation Service, at Brookville.

Lt. Harry Palmatier Serving Aboard lion Homme Richard
Serving aboard the attack carrier USS Bon Homme Richard with Fighter Squadron 71, is Lt. Harry C. Palmatier, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Palmatier Sr., of Cou-dcrsport, and husband of Mrs. H. C Palmatier of 19. Overlook Dr., East Greenwich, R. I. Flying the Panther jet, VF 71, with other squadrons from Air Group 7, has been striking North Korean targets ranging over the entire eastern half of North Korea. Blasting targets including hydro electric plants, industrial potential and interdiction, the last jets have been concentrating on smashing antiaircraft gun positions to enable fighter bombers to drop their heavier loads on vital targets. Fighter Squadron 71 trained at the U. S. Naval Air Station, Quonset Point, R. I., prior to joining the Bon Homme Richard in May, 1952.
