James Rossman, aged eleven years, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Rossman of Ross Glenn, slipped on the ice Wednesday of last week and broke his right arm between the shoulder and elbow. This is the second time the lad has broken his arm during the past six months.
Jacob Swanson, for many years a resident of this section engaging in lumbering and later in farming at Mina, was kicked by a horse Friday evening at about 7:30 and very severely injured. He was taken to the Coudersport General Hospital and given every care possible but no hope was held out for his recovery from the first. This morning at 1:15 he passed away.
Clair Wright had the misfortune to break the middle finger of his right hand while cranking a car at Eulalia Mills one day last week.
Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Geer announce the marriage of their daughter Grace Eva to George Warren Kemp of Philadelphia.
Major Lynn G. Adams, superintendent of the state police, is hunting deer this week armed with a bow and a quiver of arrows.
Ernest W. Gilette and Anna Hall, both of Genesee were married at the Methodist parsonage by Rev. A. M. Deitterich, Monday.
The two-story frame house of Mr. and Mrs. Duane H. Church of Brace Hollow, near Westfield. The cause of the fire is unknown. Mr. and Mrs. Church had to jump out of a bedroom window on the first floor in their nightclothes In order to escape from the flames. Both the house and household goods were partially covered by insurance. A parked car near the house was saved.
