Sheldon, Miles died, saved dad news FB180623LH

If we only knew the stories that could be told of our ancestors. Mostly known, only, by the minimal dates of birth, dates of death and in many cases - even the dates and names are no longer readable on the worn stone memorials, we can only imagine what their lives were like.
Today, while visiting the grave lot purchased by "Sol Snyder" I noticed one grandchild of Solomon and Hannah Stein Snyder I had previously not noticed on the memorial that has the names of Amanda and Robert Sheldon. This other Sheldon grandchild was Miles N. Sheldon.
Miles, Amanda and Robert all died at very young ages, Amanda (18), Robert (3) & Miles (21).
Using NEWSPAPER.COM, I found, on page 3 of VOL. VIII, January 4, 1882 Potter Enterprise, this heartbreaking story of Miles N Sheldon. The last sentence will bring tears to your eyes.
My heart aches for George & Mary Snyder Sheldon, the parents of these children.
George Sheldon is a descendant of the man for whom Sheldon Hollow was named.
Mary was the daughter of Solomon and Hannah Stein Snyder.
Milton Swift, who is the administrator of the Hebron Cemetery told me that the cemetery lot next to the one purchased by Sol (Solomon) Snyder was purchased by George Sheldon. There are no grave markers for George or Mary Sheldon.
