Went Over Embankment.
E. C. Stevens, the insurance agent received quite a shaking up Saturday being thrown from his wheel over an embankment. The accident happened below Fish Basket, He was riding on the sidepath when his wheel slipped over the edge of the embankment, and he dropped several feet. One arm and his back were sprained, and it will be Borne time before he completely recovers.

New Cement Walk.
James Ryan, a good man at his business, has the contract for the cement walk in front and leading to the M. E. church. The street walk will be 92 feet long and five feet wide; the approaches thirty-seven feet long. The work is already under way. It is needless to say that the work will be done in a workmanlike manner and will greatly improve the appearance of the property.

Cannot Recover.
Dr. R. B. Knight was called to Genesee Monday to give medical assistance to Dr. Reed, of that place, who has been a very sick man for some time. He said he did not think it possible for the gentleman to live another day. The best physicians have attended him and none of them have been able to do anything for him. He is suffering with cancerous affection.

Attempted Suicide.
Rose May VanKirk, who was confined in the jail last week awaiting trial, became despondent and attempted to commit suicide. She went to the cell of one of the prisoners who had laudanum, which he used for tooth ache, and drank the contents of the bottle. It required a great amount of work on the part of the physician and others, to save her life.

Fine Basket of Strawberries.
Mrs. W. I. Lewis, of this borough, will please accept the thanks of the Enterprise for a basket of the finest strawberries we have ever seen grown " in this Bection. Each and every one waB as large as a walnut. These berries prove the fact that there is no place in the country where larger or more luscious strawberries can be raiaed than In Potter county.

Died This Morning.
John Fee, aged 65 years, died at his home in Ladona, this morning at about 8.40. He has been in poor health for some time. A stroke of paralysis was the cause of death. His wife survives him. The couple moved to Ladona last spring from Blowville, where they had resided for some years. Previous to going there they were residents of Allegany, N.Y.
