• Miss Grace Lohman Bride At Sweden Valley Church
Local Girt is Joined in Marriage To Leonard H. Snyder By The Rev. Robert Sweatman Sister Maid of Honor.
Miss Grace Elizabeth Lohman, daughter of Mrs. Mary Lohman of 104 Cartee St, became the bride of Leonard Hugh Snyder, son of Mrs. Vera Snyder of East 2nd Street, Coudersport at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Sweden Valley.
The Rev. Robert Sweatman, pastor of the church performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with lighted candle-bra, and banked with autumn colored pompons.
Mrs. Gloria Saulter played the traditional wedding music. She accompanied Mrs. Robert Sweatman as she sang "Because" and "The Lord's Frayer".
Given in marriage by her uncle, Richard H. Benson,, the bride wore a floor length gown of traditional white, fashioned of Alencon lace md nylon net.
The fitted bodice featured a V neckline outlined in tulle. Lace formed points from the waist partway down the bouffant skirt. An allover ruffled underskirt cf net contributed to this very full look. A bridal veil of illusion net finger, tip length fell from a lace tiara embroidered in sequins. She wore a rhinestone necklace and earrings, a gift of the bridegroom.
Miss Shirley Lohman, sister cf the bride, was maid of honor. Her gown of irridescent re a taffeta waltz length gown was fashicned with an Italian neckline," fitted bedice and full gored skirt and she wore bronze colored shoes and mitts. A bouquet cf autumn colored pompons with matching flower, head piece completed her ensemble.
Leon Reed, a friend of the bridegroom, served as best man. Ushers were Dwight and Duane Gross, cousins of the bridegroom.
For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Lohman selected, a grey wool dress with black accessories.
Mrs. Snyder wore a grey dress with grey accessories.. Both wore corsages of white carnations.
A reception was held at the Cen-tral Grange Hall in Sweden Valley for about 75 relatives and friend;. A four tiered wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and biide-groom, centered the bride's table, from where a buffet lunch was served.
For traveling through the Southern states the bride wore a grey and black two piece sheath dress with black "accessories.
The bridegroom attended the local school and is employed on the farm of Norman Leete.
The bride a 1957 graduate of Coudersport High School is presently employed at the Potter County Journal office as secretary.
On returning home from their wedding trip the couple will reside on Main Street, Coudersport..
