Peyton Robert Justice 1784-1862 Cincinnati Ohio Daily Commercial, August 28, 1862 28 Aug 1862 JennJust76 added this on 10 Jun 2010 lindascarver1originally submitted this to Blevins Family Tree on 25 Oct 2008 Captain William Ford, of Pike county, informs the Sandy Valley Advocate that the rebe's visited the house of Mr. Lewis Sowerds in that County and robbed the family of everything their house contained. They also arrested Mr. Peyton Justice, an old man of 78 years, and then took him to the woods and shot him dead. The ball entered the back part of his head and came out of his forehead. His body was left lying where he was murdered.
