-- The Encampment of Grand Army Posts on the Fair Grounds last week, was a success notwithstanding the short time for preparation and difficulties to contend with. About 500 people were on the ground each day. One hundred and fifty of the boys in blue from Barnes, Lewis, Estes aud Jones Posts were present. A pole and flag was raised, speeches were made by Messrs Kilbourn, Austin, Bridges and others. Dancing was indulged in during the afternoon. The soldier's dinner was a picnic dinner consisting of all the delicacies of the season. Maj. Kilbourne was elected chairman aud J. M. Covey secretary. A resolution was passed that each Post appoint one representative and one alternate, the representatives to appoint time and place of next meeting, and give three moutns notice.
