LeBon L. Kellogg of Shingle House Fell 32 Feet From Oil Derrick

nephew Bert Kellogg and Geo Seibert of Shingle House, taking down a rig on the gas lease of the WNY&P Traction Co. 500' back of the dwelling occupied by Andrus Hanks & family, a mile east of Ceres.
The men were racing as they do sometimes, and as Seibert knocked loose some girts that they were letting down with tackle blocks they swung around and struck Kellogg, knocking him off the rig. He fell outside the rig, struck a brace and went inside and landed on his shoulders on the derrick floor 32 feet below.
If he lives, he will be badly crippled.
