SHINGLEHOUSE
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Newton have gone to Oklahoma for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Gross will occupy their home on Honeoye street.
The chicken supper served by the ladies of the M. E. Church at the home of Prof, and Mrs. W. H. Briggs was largely attended.
Harry McDonald and family have moved into the Monroe house on Second street.
Mr. and Mrs. Carmie VanDeBoe spent a few days the last week with their son Attorney C. C. VanDeBoe and family of Lincoln avenue.
The rummage sale by the ladles of the Baptist church on Saturday was very successful.
Dr. Claude Womer and family and Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Womer have moved to Eldred where Dr. Womer has maintained a dental office for some time. Their friends regret to have them leave.
Rev. T. C Harris and son Russell were in Olean Saturday.
Clifford Drake and family have gone to Cleveland where he will practice his profession as a chiropractor.
Loron Prince met with a serious accident when he fell several feet from a ladder on his silo, breaking several ribs and bruising himself in other ways. Mr. Prince is a man of advanced years and his many friends regret that he met with this accident.
The following Shinglehouse sportsmen spent a few days over the weekend at their camp in Black Forest: Messrs.

G. H. Drake,
C. R. Nichols and
U. S. Dodge.
The ball game Sunday afternoon between Shinglehouse and Bolivar filled the town with enthusiastic fans of both sides, 13 innings were played with a score of 2-2 and it was dark when the game had to be called off.
Kenneth Nichols and Leo Schlosser, students at Alfred University, were home for the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Morley and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Morley of Gold were guests of Miss Susie Morley Sunday.
The body of E. Reynolds who died in the Wellsville Sanitarium was brought to the home of L. Jacobs and the funeral was held in the M. E. Church Monday afternoon. Rev. Walton officiating. Burial in the Home cemetery.
