Son of William Hydorn and Eleanor Burdick.. He and his Brother Charles were among the earliest to enlist in the Civil War.. Contracted Dysentery and sent home at Solstice Time (Christmas?) to recover which he did not.. Not clear if he was in the same unit or Regiment as his Brother
