My 2nd great Uncle.
Son of Andrew Isaac Cornelius and Elmina Margaret Strong.
ISAAC A. CORNELIUS
The death of Isaac A. Cornelius, aged 65 years, of Duke Center, occurred Sunday morning, April 14, at 9:45 o'clock at the Bradford hospital, following a two week's illness of pneumonia and measles. Deceased was born in Hebron Center, January 1, 1870 and had resided in Duke Center for the past 12 years. He is survived by
- his widow, Mrs. Florence Cornelius;
two daughter,
- Mrs. Arthur Buck and Gladys Cornelius of Duke Center, and
seven sisters,
- Mrs. Carrie Hosmer and
- Mrs. Cora Goodnoe of Olean,
- Mrs. Lelon Cook of Hebron,
- Miss Florence Cornelius of Alma, NY,
- Mrs. Ernest Bell of Gifford and
- Mrs. Bela Elliott of Alma;
three brothers,
- alva Cornelius of Portville,
- John cornelius of Duke Center and
- Jessie Cornelius of Indian Creek.
Seven grandchildren also survive.
The body was taken in charge by the Koch funeral home and was taken to the home of his daughter, Gladys Cornelius, in Duke Center, where private funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Rev. Rogers, pastor of the Duke Center Free Methodist Church, officiated.
- Burial was made in the family plot in Chrystal cemetery,

Tina, the Hebron connection may tie my James Cornelius(spouse, Addie Clark, Hebron) to this Cornelius. Thanks for posting!

Brenda Kenealy Williams there is a very good chance that we're connected. My 3x's Great G. Isaac Andrew Cornelius(b. 1806 Dryden, Ny-d.1875 in Heborn) and aurilla Green had 13 children. Their son, Andrew Isaac, my 2x's Great G.( b.1847 in Alfred,Ny-d. 1918 in Eldred) and Elmina Margaret Strong also had 13 children. A very good chance with that many children there may be a few James...lol The only one that I have documented so far is James Ellsworth. Born 1881 and died 1899. By the way, my connection to the Cornelius' is thru my Great Grandmother Nellie Lenore Cornelius Sturdevant. She was married Amos Sturdevant the 2nd.

Larry Johnson Thank You...my daughters and I take several pots of flowers over to the Cornelius lot every Memorial Day...:) Something that my Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother did every year as well.
