The other sponsor was Josyna Gardenier Wheeler's brother-in-law Obadiah Cooper, who also happened to be the baptismal sponsor for Samuel Wheeler in 1713. If you look at the baptismal records for Kinderhook reformed chuch in 1749 and 1752 (the Chronolgical baptismal book, and not the alphabetical index in family search), you will see that in 1749 & 1752 the mother’s maiden names are listed - which clearly shows John Wheeler and wife Elizabeth Wheeler.
