George Burt, better known as "Jakie" Burt, committed suicide Saturday evening at the family" home on Third street in Roulette. He planned to send other members of the family from the home and after doing so sent a bullet crashing through his brain. For years he was an employee of the Gray Chemical Company but for a long period he had been physically incapacitated. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, two sons Vernon and Guy, two daughters Elizabeth and Evelyn, also , his mother. Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday afternoon and burial was made in the Card Creek cemetery.
