Leon Rennells
Former Coudersport Resident Dies In Jersey Shore Hospital.
Leon Rennells, 80, a former resident of Coudersport, died Sunday (Nov. 24, 1968) in a Jersey Shore hospital following a lengthy illness. Mr. Rennells was living with a daughter, Mrs. Paul Ramus, at Jersey Shore.
A retired railroader, he was born in Coudersport March 17, 1888, the son of Charles and Clara Smith Rennells. He was married to the former Mable Hill who died in 1947. He married Mrs. Annis Smith Rennells 18 years ago.
He was a member of Coudersport Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife;
two daughters,
- Mrs. Paul (Onalee) Hamus of Linden and
- Mrs. Harold (Elizabeth) Davenport of Mexico;
three step-daughters,
- Mrs. Frank (Luella) Potter of Bradford.
- Mrs. Bruce (Betty) Easterling of Albion, and
- Mrs. Don (June) Harrison of Seattle, Wash.;
five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;
three sisters,
- Mrs. Francis (Irene) Harder of Wellsville,
- Mrs. Millard (Evelyn) Dimmick and
- Mrs. Charles (Neva) Treat, both of N. Tonawanda.
A funeral service was held Tues day, Nov. 26 at the Wesleyan Church in Jersey Shore.
- Interment was in Twin Hills Cemetery, Montoursville.

Mrs. Louise Saulters Coudersport Native, 78, Leaves Three Children, Husband
Mrs. Louise K. Saulters, 76, died Saturday (Nov. 30. 1968) in Cole Memorial Hospital following an illness of five years.
She was born in Coudersport Sept. 13, 1892, the daughter of Adam and Sophia Ernst Denhoff. She married John Saulters Dec. 20, 1917, in Coudersport. She attended Park United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband,
three children,
- Milton Saulters,
- Carlton Saulters and
- Miss Arlene Saulters, all of Coudersport;
two grandchildren;
- a brother, Fred Denhoff of Wellsville;
two sisters,
- Mrs. Sophia Kellner and
- Mrs. Bertha Blow,
and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held today, 2:00 p.m., at the Grabe-
Fiekinger Funeral Home. The Rev. LaRue G. Bender, pastor of the Park United Methodist Church, will officiate.
- Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, RD Coudersport.

James J. Luby
Made His Home In Roulette with Sister, Mrs. Tyler
Following a lengthy illness, James J. Luby, 89, of Roulette, died Thursday (Nov. 21, 1968) at Cole Memorial Hospital.
Born in Marlowe, N.H., Dec. 31, 1878, he was a son of James E. and Flora Butler Luby. He was married to the former Mabel Van Border, who died in 1965. Before moving to Roulette, Mr. Luby lived in Olean. He was a retired employee of a Toronto, Canada, candy factory. He was both of Coudersport, Methodjst church. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. service wilt be neia Genevieve Tvler of Roulette, with whom he lived, and two nieces.
A funeral service was held at the Gallup Funeral Home in
Allegany Saturday, with the Rev, T. Lee Bennett, minister of Riverside Church, officiating.
- Interment was in Lyman Cemetery at Roulette.
