Mr. and Mrs. Alva Thompson, of Coudersport R. D. 2, celebratred their fiftieth wedding anniversary April 23 with 130 friends and relatives attending open house held in the afternoon and evening.
Retreshments were served from a lace covered table centered by a lovely wedding cake made by Mrs. Roy Thompson. Tall golden candles and an unusual golden wedding floral piece completed the table decorations. Prominently displayed was a wedding picture of 50 years ago. The cake was cut by a knife that was a wedding present.
Five of the guests present at their Golden Anniversary Celebration had attended the wedding. They were Mrs. Fred Snyder, Coudersport, sister of Mrs. Thompson; Mrs. Arthur Mattison, Coudersport, and Mrs. Albert Green, Alfred, NY, sisters of Mr. Thompson; Mrs. Roy Culbertson, of Bradford, aunt of Mr. Thompson, and Mrs. Eugene Meacham, a life-long friend of the couple.
Guests were present from Alfred, Allegany, Olean, Obi, Knapps Creek, Duke center, Mansfield, Eldred, Roulette and Bradford.
Many gifts and flowers, numerous cards and telephone call received conveyed the good wishes for the friendly, congenial couple who are noted for their friendliness and gen- erous hospitality.
The immediate family consists ot Mrs. Arthur Van Pelt, Miss Lena Thompson, Roy Thompson and Bill Thompson, of Coudersport, and Mrs. James Schnepp of Clermont, Pa. The Thompsons also have six grandsons and one granddaughter, and one great granddaughter.
• Child Dies As Result of Fall From Automobile Near Home Sunday
Tot of Four Years Dies in Coudersport , Hospital --Daughter of Mrs. Julia Moore of Millport -- Deputy Coroner Issues Certificate.
Six children of the family of Mrs. Julia Moore of Coneville were given a ride home from church Sunday by County Commissioner Maurice Swift. The youngster, Joyce Elaine Moore, 4, and her five brothers were all in the back seat. Mr. Swift had taken care to lock the doors.
When within 100 yards of the Moore home, Joyce must have released the lock and she fell out. She was immediately brought to the Potter County Memorial Hospital here but she expired at 1:15 p. m.
The little one is survived by her mother and brothers ranging to 12 years of age. Deputy Coroner Randall Raup, of Coudersport, issued a certificate of-accidental death due to internal in juries, skull fracture and traumatic chock. The child struck a rough edge of the highway and gravel.

Junior Class to Present Popular Comedy Success Two Nights.
"Father of the Bride," the popular three-act comedy and recent movie success, will be presented on Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10, by the junior class of Coudersport High School. Based on the novel by Edward Streeter, this play was especially made from the celebrated best seller,
