Affectionally Known to Many As "Gram" Dies in Hospital.
Mrs. Anna May Butler passed away at the Potter County Memorial Hospital in Coudersport at 9:10 Tuesday morning, (Nov. 5, 1957).
Mrs. Butler was a daughter of Samuel and Henrietta Wood Button, born at Elmer, Pa., Oct. 6, 1886. She married James F. Butler at Troupsburg, N. Y., Mar. 1, 1903. The family resided at Einporium and Galeton before locating in Coudersport 36 years ago.
Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Daughters of Rebekah and Loyal Daughters of the Presbyterian Church.
For some years she was employed at Carl's Texas Lunch where she was affectionally known as "Gram".
Her husband died only Tuesday, Oct 25.
Survivors include: seven, children:
Mrs. Luella Chilson,
Mrs. Wilms Carey,
Mrs. Thelma Howell and
Mrs. Pauline Brewer, Coudersport;
Carl H., Coudersport;
Harold I. and James F. Jr., Philadelphia;
13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren;
four sisters,
Mrs. Jermie Butler, Elmira, N.Y.;
Mrs. Maude Lane, Ulysses;
Mrs. Ruth Taylor, Rixford; and
Mrs. Ethel Faye, Westfield;
four brothers,
Alfred and Robert Button, Westfield;
Warren Button, Port Allegany;
Roy, Smethport.
The body was prepared for burial at the Grabe Funeral Home and taken to the family home where friends called. A prayer service will be held at the home tomorrow at 2:00 o'clock followed by the funeral at the Presbyterian Church at 2:30. The Rev. Robert Loughborough will officiate. Interment will be in Eulalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers were William Fish Jr., Frederic Anderson, Harold C. Hol-comb, Louis Schaub, Laurent Johnston and Marvin Wilson.
Rotarians See Film On Insurance
A film - on- title insurance, titled "The Land Is Yours, wad sno.v.. Monday's Rotary Club meeting by John Duvall, local attorney. Dominic J. Castano conducted the meeting as president.
