Frank A. Palmatier Dies At Home Of Daughter, Mrs. Moshier.
Frank A. Palmatier, highly respected Roulette retired farmer, who had suffered for nine years following a stroke, died Saturday, April 10, 1954, at the home of his daughter and family, Mrs. Roy Moshier at Roulette, where he had received care for some weeks. Mr. Palmatier was bom in Harrison Township, Potter County, April 7, 1863. He was a son Caleb and Viola Scoville Palmatier. He married Ella Jones at Whitesville, N.Y. Dec. 25, 1890. Before moving to Roulette, the family resides at Colesburg for some years. Surviving are five children: Harry Palmatier, R. Coudersport; Mrs. Lelia Mosher, Roulette; Mrs. Kate Gould, Blairsville: Mrs. Thelma Dildine, Mills; Mrs. Zelma Burrell, Limestone, N. Y.
There are 23 Grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. A sister, Mrs. Ann Austin, resides at Perrysburg, N.Y. and a brother, Bert Palmatier, at Genesee. The body was prepared for burial at the Grabe Funeral Home and prayer service held at the Moshier residence, and the funeral from the Andrews Settlement Church at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
The Rev. Clair Statham officiated. Burial was in Andrews Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers were
Noel Palmatier, Norman Leete, Howard Edgreen, Almon Freeman, Caleb Palmatier and Isaac Dingman..
